How to Write Chinese on Computer or on Internet
There are many more complicated Chinese input methods --- 5 stroke, CangJie, NieMa, ZhengMa, ZhuYin, Internal Code, just to name a few. For beginners, we introduce CangJie codes. The principles of CangJie input method is to associate radicals with keystrokes (see figure below). For example, the radical 日 is associated with “a”, and the radical 月 is associated with “b”. Under CangJie晶 is “aaa”, 昌 is “aa”, 明 is “ab” and 朋 is “bb”. Beginners are not required to learn Chinese input methods such as CangJie. CangJie codes, however, highlights the importance of radicals in Chinese.
